The Faculty Colloquium of the Faculty of Arts, University of Jaffna is designed to inspire intellectual discussion and promote scholarly research and publication across various disciplines, as well as encourage networking among individuals and institutions in their respective fields. Ultimately, this endeavour should contribute to scholarly professional development. Faculty Research Colloquium has provided faculty with an opportunity to discuss their scholarly works in progress and to receive feedback from their colleagues on their research orientations.

Accordingly, the First Colloquium of the Faculty of Arts was held on10th May 2023. Dr.A.A.Kadirgamar, Senior Lecturer, Department of Sociology has presented his research paper on ‘’Peoples’ Politics and Rethinking Democracy in Sri Lanka”.
