On 24.08.2023, at the Seminar Hall of the Faculty of Arts, Department of Fine Arts presented two talks by renowned Tamil writer Perumal Murugan and Historian Prof. A.R. Venkatachalapathy of Madras Institute of Development Studies, dwelled on the spectrum of fiction and history.

They critically discussed these two field of terms which touches on the truth in fiction and lies in history. Many local writers, art lovers, students and academics eagerly participated in these talks. Mr. P. Ahilan chaired the session.
