The ‘Media Club’, the Students’ Society of the Department of Media Studies organized the event of ‘Introducing the Book ‘நினைவுகள், நிகழ்வுகள், நெஞ்சில் மோதும் எண்ண அலைகள்’ of Senior Journalist Late. P. Manikkavasaham on 14th of June 2023 at 3.00 p.m in the New Arts Seminar Hall. At the beginning of the event, Mr.S.J.Dinesh Koduthor, Senior Treasurer of the Media Club welcomed the guests and students. Prof.S.Raguram, Dean of the Faculty of Arts addressed the Journey of the Professional Life of the Senior Journalist Late. P. Manikkavasaham.
Prof.K.T.Ganeshalingam, Head of the Department of Political Science introduced the book ‘நினைவுகள், நிகழ்வுகள், நெஞ்சில் மோதும் எண்ண அலைகள்’ and shared the political discipline of the Senior Journalist. Mr. Bharathi Rajanayagam, Former Editor of ‘Thinakural Weekly’ and Mr.Ganabathy Sarvanantha, Senior Journalists addressed to the audience. Then Mrs. Manikkavasaham thanked the organizers and the participants and donated the sets of books written by Late. P. Manikkavasaham to the Library of the University of Jaffna and the Department Library of the Media Studies. The vote of thanks was given by the Secretary of the Media Club, Ms.R.Dharshini. Academic Staff of the Department of Media Studies, Senior Journalists, the family members of Late. P. Manikkavasaham and the students of the Departments of Media Studies and Political Science participated in the event.
